Amidst the anger, outrage, despair, and grief, we need to hang onto hope so we aren't pulled under, rendering us useless to anyone. Watching people come together in solidarity gives me hope. So does hearing from our young people how deeply disturbed and determined for change they are. There is humanity, goodness, and hope swirling around in the chaos and hate. Keep looking for it. Keep cultivating it. Keep speaking out. Keep supporting one another. 

Being white, I may never understand, but I stand with you. I am here to walk next to you, to speak up with you. #blacklivesmatter
